Good Neighbors Garden Events
A good way to get to know people, and stay involved, is to attend the many week-end garden work sessions. These summer work days normally are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays. Work sessions may be announced on our Calendar page, and also on the Good Neighbors Garden Ferndale facebook page.
Through membership and volunteer participation, we have accomplished a lot, in various projects. Members and volunteers worked hard, and with the aid of the City of Ferndale, to construct a new wood fence for our perimeter. We also added a shed, in our south-east corner of the site. .
The beauty of our many perennial and annual plants is the result of continued dedication to those who helped out with planting, transplanting and maintenance of those community plot areas.
New projects included adding an area for raspberry bushes to grow, the startup of the Children's Green Thumb garden group, and a butterfly garden out front.
